The Santa Clara Broncos are a NCAA division I soccer program. They play in the West Coast Conference (WCC). The team has won 1 National Championship in 1989 and were finalists in 1999.

2007 Season Review
The Santa Clara Broncos finished the 2007 season with a 16-2-4 record and a 10-0-2 mark in the West Coast Conference to capture their 10th WCC title and earn a trip to the NCAA Tournament for the fifth consecutive year. SCU entered the tournament as the No. 7 seed and earned a first-round bye for the second straight season. After defeating UCLA 3-1 in the second round, the Broncos fell 2-0 to Notre Dame to end their dreams of reaching the 2007 College Cup in Cary, N.C.

Four Broncos Selected in 2007 MLS Draft
Four Santa Clara University soccer players were selected in the 2008 MLS SuperDraft Friday afternoon. The Chicago Fire picked Peter Lowry, who was a first-team All-American in 2007, in the second round with the 26th overall pick. Matt Marquess went in the third round with the 39th selection to the Kansas City Wizards, while Jamil Roberts and Matt Hatzke were picked in the fourth round by FC Dallas (45th overall) and the Los Angeles Galaxy (51st overall), respectively. The last time Santa Clara had four players selected in the draft was 1996.
