Ball Control Drills - Trapping Drills

Steps:

  1. As the ball approaches in the air, adjust your body so that you’re in line with its path and your body is behind the ball.
  2. Once the ball approaches your leg, raise your thigh to meet the ball.
  3. Move your thigh in the direction of the ball as you make contact
  4. As the ball hits your thigh, absorb the ball's momentum and let the ball fall to your feet.

Tips:

  • Trapping the ball with your thigh is most useful when the ball is dropping toward you or is in the air above your knee and below your waist.
