Steps:

  1. Have one player from the blue team and one from the red team in one half of the field. The other two players from the blue team and red team will be in the other half of the field. You must stay in your own half.
  2. Red team starts out with the ball. Red team is trying to maintain possession and score on the blue team by knocking over the blue team’s cones. Blue team is defending their cones, while trying to steal the ball from the red team and knocking over the red teams cones.
  3. First team to knock over all their opponents’ cones wins. You must stay in your half of the field, but you can knock over an opponent’s cone from either half of the field. If the ball goes out of bounds it’s the other team’s ball.

Setup:

  • Set up a field 20x20, with 2 half’s
  • 6 players: Two teams (3 Red, 3 Blue)
  • Set up Four cones (Two cones for the blue team and 2 for the red team), at each end line.

Variations:

  • Limit touches a player can take.
  • Place cones throughout the field instead of on the end lines.
  • Allow player to go into both halves of the field.

Tips:

  • Defenders should be aware of their positioning on the field and keep themselves between the ball and the cones they are defending.
  • Stay tightly marked on your man so the person with the ball does not have very much space to turn, which will also limit their vision of the cone they are trying to knock over.
