Steps:
- Start off with two teams on the field, with one team starting off with the ball. Notice the shape of the field.
- Play a regular game while working on the following:
- The first defender should always pressure the ball. Do not let the first attacker’s head come up.
- The second defender should be between the ball and the goal while being aware of the second attacker.
- The first defender should try to channel the first attacker with the ball toward the sideline away from the second attacker.
- Once the first attacker has no passing option, the second defender double teams the first attacker and tries to win the ball.
Setup:
- Set up a field with cones 20x20 yards (Refer to diagram)
- 4 players: Two teams of two (Red vs. Yellow)
Tips:
- The defenders need to stay balanced and make sure they don’t become too spread out, allowing the attacking team to pass around them or get an easy shot off.
