Steps:

  1. Start off with a group of three players with the Blue player holding the ball. The Blue player is going to roll/throw the ball to either the Red player or the Yellow player.
  2. Whichever player the ball is rolled/thrown to (Red or Yellow), they must control the ball and complete a pass to the other offensive player. Meanwhile the Blue player who originally rolled/threw the ball should immediately challenge and put pressure on whichever player they rolled/threw the ball to and try to win it back.
  3. After successfully passing the ball to the open offensive player, the roles are reversed and the person with the ball now becomes the defender. The defender is awarded a point for winning the ball back and the offensive player is awarded a point for successfully completing a pass.

Setup:

  • Set up a grid 10x10 yards
  • 3 players: (2 attackers (red, yellow), 1 defender (blue))

Variations:

  • The player receiving the ball may not pass it off with one touch.

Tips:

  • The defender should pressure the ball quickly after it is tossed.
  • The offensive players first touch should be away from the pressuring defender.
  • The other offensive player receiving the pass should move to get open and give the player with the ball a passing option.
