Closing Down an Opponent

The most dangerous player on the field is always the person with the ball.  As the player with the ball gets closer and closer to your goal, the more dangerous they become.  That’s why, as a defender it is important to try to defend your opponent as far away from your goal as possible.  In order to do so, you as a defender must close down your opponent and tightly defend the attacker, not allowing them time or space with the ball.  Watch this video for a demonstration.
