Ball Control Drills - Heading Drills
Sunday, 09 December 2007
Steps:
- To head the ball you need to keep your eyes open and on the ball at all times. As the ball approaches your head, you need to arch your back and snap your head forward to meet the ball. When heading the ball, you must keep your shoulders level and perpendicular to where you want to ball to go. Contact should be made with the upper part of your forehead (at about your hairline).
Tips:
- Dont allow the ball to hit you, meet the ball.
- Keep your eyes open - When heading the ball, the force you hit the ball with should come from when your arching your back and body and thrusting at the ball, NOT your neck.
