Steps:

  1. Set up with a team of three in each half (Red Team, Blue Team). Each team MUST stay in there own half.
  2. Play begins when the keeper plays the ball to one of the players on the Red team. The Red team has 3 touches to get a shot off on the opponent’s goal. The Blue team is trying to block the shot while staying in their own half. If ball goes out of bounds the other goalkeeper serves a new ball to his team.

Setup:

  • Field 40x20 with full goals.
  • Place cones across the field at the 20 yard mark, making two halves.
  • 8 players: (3 attackers, 2 goalkeepers)

Variations:

  • To make this drill tougher, restrict it so every player must touch the ball before the shot is taken with each player only having one touch.
