Steps:

  1. Two keepers, two goals, three balls, and two shooters set up using the diagram above.
  2. The first player from each team comes out to the center and pass the ball back and forth using one touch.  The keepers have a ball in their hands ready to serve.
  3. On the coach's call of "left" or "right" the players leave the middle ball, turn and sprint, receive a pass from the keeper and then finish with a side foot shot.
  4. The keepers must react and try to save the shot and any rebounds that are given up.
  5. Players receive 3 points for a goal and -1 point for missing the target. Two teams compete against each other to a set amount of points.
  6. Repeat these steps with two new players.

Setup:

  • 4 or more players (2 shooters, 2 goalies).
  • Set of balls, 2 cones.
  • 2 goals

Variations:

  • To add difficulty all passes can be made in the air.

Tips:

  • When shooting balls rolled out to you try to use the side foot shot for more accuracy. If the ball is played in the air try to let the get a few inches from the ground before trying to volley it. This will help keep the ball on frame.
