Steps:

  1. Set up a 10x10 grid in front of the goal. Place a defender on the back line of the 10x10 grid with a goalkeeper in the goal. Place one attacking player with a ball at the start of the grid.
  2. The player with the ball should go at the defender with speed. Once the defender commits, the attacker should try to beat the defender. Once the defender is beaten he cannot track back. If the defender wins the ball or clears it from the grid the drill is over. If the attacker gets past the defender, they proceed onto the goal and try to score on the goalkeeper.

Setup:

  • 10x10 grids in front of the goal
  • 3 players: (1 attacker, 1 defender, 1 goalkeeper)

Tips:

  • The object of this drill is to create a 1v1-attacking situation in the grid.
