Steps:
- Set up one cone about 25-30 yards out from goal in line with the goal post. Line up the attacker with a ball at the cone.
- The object of this drill, once the whistle is blown, is for the attacking player with the ball to dribble at the goal with speed. The attacking player needs to make a decision whether to try to score by shooting the ball or by dribbling by the goal keeper.
Setup:
- 1 cone about 25-30 yards out from goal in line with the goal post - 2 players: (1 attacker, 1 goalkeeper)
Tips:
- If the goalie remains on his goal line, the attacker will most likely be looking to shoot the ball
- If the goalie comes off his line beyond the 6 yard box, the attacker will most likely beat the keeper by dribbling by him or chipping him, depending on how far out of goal the goalkeeper is.
